Lauren and Markie

Lauren Ash-Morgan, an actor and a member of the SSC's board since 2011, is the Founding co-artistic director and artistic director of the newly formed theatre firm Speech of Fire. She served as Artistic director of Seoul Shakespeare Company from 2014 through the year 2019. As Artistic director of SSC she served as the composer/music supervisor for the company as well as a Text teacher. For her last year she was the lighting designer and director for SSC's King Lear. She had been in charge of the production from a group and in this year's production began her first directorial experience. Since 1982 she has been engaged to writer and actor Michael A. Ross with who has twin daughters. Post she is an outstanding actor and a wonderful wife and mother and mother, has become an inspirational role model to several Hollywood celebrities.
